Composition and Performance

        Xingyu Yao is a Boston/Shanghai-based artist, Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), psychodramatist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and a Berklee alumna who plays, composes, teaches, and utilize music clinically, as well as pursuing field recordings. She sees music as a crucial way of expression, emotional communication, spiritual practice, life transformation, community building, and the catalyst for social change. 
        Her mission is to support her students, clients, and audience to remove obstacles from their lives, find their unique voices, express themselves freely, reach their goals, become an authentic person, and build communities in which everyone can thrive.
